Household goods & personal effects

Vero Marine provides comprehensive cover for one-off transits of Household Goods and Personal Effects both for moves within New Zealand and to or from New Zealand.

Within New Zealand (Move NZ)
Covering single transits of Household Goods & Personal Effects within New Zealand, including storage (if required) for up to six months at a Professional Storage Facility. Full cover and limited cover option available. Deductible is NZ$100 for Professionally packed goods or NZ$500 for Owner packed goods (Full cover only).

Maximum limit for any one transit is NZ$250,000 and all individual items or sets of items valued at over NZ$10,000 must be advised to Vero Marine in writing. If the total value of the transit exceeds NZ$250,000 and/or if there are any art work(s), antique(s) or collectables valued in excess of NZ$10,000, you will need to contact Vero Marine beforehand as different rates, terms and conditions may apply.

International (Transit International)
Covering single transits to/from New Zealand of Household Goods & Personal Effects, Motor Vehicles, Motor Cycles, Caravans, Boats, Boat Trailers and Personal Watercraft.

Full Cover only is available. A detailed Valuation List is required for all Household Goods & Personal Effects shipments and should be completed accordingly. A Pre-shipment Condition Report is required on all Motor Vehicles and Caravans and should be completed accordingly.

The deductibles are:
Household Goods & Personal Effects: NZ$250 each and every claim. When not Professionally Packed, the excess is NZ$1,000.
Motor Vehicles and Caravans: 1% of the sum insured, minimum NZ$500 each and every claim. Excess will be doubled if no pre-shipment condition report obtained.
Motor Cycles, Personal Watercraft, Boats and Boat Trailers:1% of the sum insured, minimum NZ$500 each and every claim.

Maximum limit any one transit is NZ$250,000, and NZ$30,000 for any item or set of art work(s) and/or antique(s) except those forming part of a Household Goods & Personal Effects shipment where the limit for any item or set of art work(s) and/or antique(s) is NZ$10,000. If any of the items you wish to insure exceed these amounts, you will need to contact Vero Marine beforehand as different rates, terms and conditions may apply.
